Resumo: |
After the recognition of the Web 2.0 as a platform for collaborative use in the internet, new tools are rising in a short time. To monitor the evolution of these tools and learn how to use them is a constant challenge for Internet Users and companies. We can mention as new tools, the social networks and their thousands of virtual communities, the instant messagings, blogs, widgets, wikis and many others. The focus of my research is to analyze how companies are using these Social Networks and for what purposes, illustrated with real cases. Over fifty Social Networks were mapped and as this sampling is very wide, only three were analyzed in detail, which, for their nature and number of registered members have shown to be favorable to attend the objective of this work. They are: Orkut (www.orkut.com), Facebook (www.facebook.com) and Linkedin (www.linkedin.com). The structure of the work was based on knowledge areas like: Customer Service, Advertising & Marketing, Research and Development, and Recruitment and Selection. Finally, how these Social Networks behave in the mobility world was investigated as an effect of there being accessed from numerous mobile devices that use access ways as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, wi-max, 3G and others. The work concludes that some companies have already woken up to the power of Social Networks, exploring information to generate new ideas. This will put them in advantage to the companies that have not entered the new paradigm |
