Resumo: This research investigates the changes in the media field of photography due to the intense changes resulting from technological innovations brought about by digital media. Computer technology has spurred an intense process of technological convergence, especially in the field of audiovisual media. Due to this process, high-quality photographic devices are able to record still images as well as moving. Now, not only in post-production, but also in capturing images, there is a connection between photography and audiovisual. The central research question thus arises: what these changes might mean and enable under renewal of audiovisual and photographic language. As a methodological basis for the theoretical foundation of this research we used the work of Gilles Deleuze, specifically in his studies of the times of the image, published primarily in his book The Time-Image. In this case, the deepening of the process of unfolding time for the perception of an observer was relevant to the consideration of the particularities of time and the visual language of photography. The extensive work of media analysis conducted by Raymond Bellour, particularly at intersections, overlaps and convergences between photography, film and video was key to understanding the origins of the similarities and differences between these media. This content has been seized in his two books: Between-Images and Between-Images 2. The broad study of Edmond Couchot about the presence of technology in art, through the book of the same name, was important to understand the process of hybridization occurring in the field of art and communications, more intensely after XXth century. Arlindo Machado's work, published in his book Pre-Cinemas & Post-Cinemas, elucidated from a historical view, the transformation of audiovisual media resulting from successive technological innovations in the field of communications. The research of François Soulages on the translation mechanisms that take action in the production of new meanings in the field of photography helped propose and utilize an analysis methodology for this project. As a result of theoretical and practical research it was possible to deepen the understanding of the processes of hybridization in audiovisual media, particularly in the photographic narratives, understanding its operational mechanisms and transformations in aesthetics, language, technology and production means
