Resumo: The presented study aimed to verify the existence of religious coping of women with Breast Cancer. For this purpose, the study had a sample of one hundred women who were doing treatment at a oncology clinic in the south of Minas Gerais. They answered a semi-structured interview, wich allowed the collection sociodemographic data, such as level of education, occupation, religion, civil status and others. It was also used the religious and spiritual coping scale, adapted to Brazil by Panzini (2004). The obtained results showed that in the research sample was relevant statistical in combination of the scale items in at least four variables: age of participants, scholarity, employment status and religion practiced. These results indicated that spitituality and religiosity may be important factors in coping reactions and adjustment of patients front oncologic diseases
