Resumo: |
The present study analyzed the alliance of social work and musical education as the practice of a curriculum oriented by the legacy of the educator Paulo Freire, in compliance with the precepts of popular education in the Programa Guri Santa Marcelina GSM that focuses on music education and sociocultural inclusion of children, adolescents aged 6-18 and their families in the city of São Paulo and greater São Paulo. The theoretical grounding of the study was paramountly guided by the work of Paulo Freire, namely Pedagogia do Oprimido , Pedagogia da Esperança and Pedagogia da Autonomia. Qualitative approach methodology was used with the instrumental case study, which brought in the voices of the direct beneficiaries of the program-the children, adolescents and their families, complemented by the voices of the educators directly involved in program. The research was carried out by means of individual interviews, wheel talks, questionnaire application and analysis of the production by the students, document analysis and bibliographic review .The results showed that the praxis of a dialogic education geared to high valuation of autonomy and respect for differences fostered the development of individual and social critical thinking and citizenship building of the students undergoing such experience. The results also demonstrated that the stimulus and support for the overcoming of their limit situations coping- has led families to nurture dreams and hopes of a possible utopia for them and their children. It also showed that the contribution of social work and popular education has promoted and constructed the shaping of a new socio pedagogic mind set in the field of musical education still in its infancy, thus strengthening the matrix of full protection of the child and adolescent ensured by the Statute of the Child and Adolescent in defense and safeguard of rights, reporting and confrontation of its violations |
