Having as its main purpose to carry out a discussion about the role of the language schools in the professional life of English teachers, this research starts from the stories told by language school English teachers in their reflective portfolios in order to, through narrative inquiry, be able to visit these teachers` lives, observing the reflective process and the stories each teacher chose as the most important to portrait them in their portfolios
