Resumo: |
The main focus of this research is to analyze how the Mission of Folkloric Researches is idealized by the action of São Paulo‟s Cultural Department from 1935 to 1938. To answer that question, I to seek to reflect by how it developed without the necessity of the creation of any institution and political guidelines which involved discussions about culture and folklore as well as the action of groups who had the intention to dispute municipal policy seeking São Paulo‟s development and progress in different areas. The Mission of Folkloric Researches was idealized by Mário de Andrade who was the Cultural Department‟s director by the year of 1938. As a result of modernist intellectuals approaching to municipal public power it was show the importance of cultural studies development which seek the creation of a “national identity”. That perspective transpose the conceptions of São Paulo‟s Cultural Department about culture and folklore crystallizing project that were into county‟s cultural policies |
