Resumo: |
This research aims at the urban public transportation in the City of Rio Verde, with focus on the look of the users of this service. Sought to highlight the quality, dependability, safety, showing at the back stage the reality of the city and the transformations occurred in its infra-structure. We will address the growth of the City of Rio Verde and the unorganized form whit growing of neighborhoods thereof were created, with a material increase of demand on the urban transportation. The urban transportation of passengers is a service that needs to be legally protected due to the number of events involving users as consumers, since the population is increasingly bigger and dependent thereon. The user´s protection is a constitutional guaranty that has been created to preserve his/her rights. Therefore, it shall be incumbent upon the State to legally promote the consumer´s protection. The rights of the users as consumers are provided for in the Brazilian Federal Constitution of 1988, in the Code of Consumer´s Protection and in the Law of Concession and Permission of Public Service (Lei de Concessão e Permissão do Serviço Público), assuring the balance among the parties and protecting those who are at the weak side of the consumer relation, that is, the user. Although the urban transportation is an essential public service, the lack of a due inspection of the said service added to the lack of public policies have contributed to the questionable service rendered. In the methodology we used quantitative data, obtained from the users and from the activities developed by the Superintendence Municipal of Traffic, directed to an analytical perspective on public administration |
