Resumo: |
This work, in the Applied Linguistics area, is based on the socio-culturalhistorical activity theory (SCHAT) and has the objective to critically analyze and understand how the concept of management is collaboratively developed in training meeting for school administrators. More specifically, the objective of this research is to: (a) investigate, study and critically understand the shared senses-and-meanings on the management concept that emerge in a training meeting at the Municipal Department of Education of São Paulo (SME-SP) and (b) analyze how these senses-and-meanings were shared. Considering the general objectives and specific objectives based on the mentioned context, this paper seeks to answer the following research questions: Which senses-andmeaning shared on the management concept, were built at a meeting of SME? How were these senses-and-meanings shared? This research is justified by the importance of critical understanding of the concepts that are usually presented in a crystallized manner in teacher training contexts, and that they could change during the development of the meetings held and consulting services focusing on collaborative action with the participating managers. In addition, another important aspect relates to the need to understand how managers take ownership of education and also build collaboratively forms of management when faced with the needs of the school context. The research methodology is organized from issues involving language as social practice in its contexts and is constituted as a Case Study that shows the relationships of social transformation found in and through language of the research participants. The instrument used for the collection and generation of data was a video recording of a training meeting held in SME and belongs to the database produced by Prof. Dra. Fernanda Coelho Liberali in her project entitled School Management in Creative Chain. The data was later transcribed and analyzed on the basis of linguistic categories of the type of question (Ninin, 2013) in order to show how the management concept was developed in the training meeting. The observations were analyzed and interpreted based on theoretical pillars of SCHAT as well as school and educational management. The research results point to the development of the concept of management by the creative chain training meeting participants with an important role of the teacher-trainer in the collaborative knowledge production |
