This work has the purpose to present the winnicottian concept of psycho-somatic unity to analyze the place of the body in the human maturational process theory. Defining the concepts of mind, psyche-soma, and doing an examination on the development of psycho-somatic existence and its possible sickness. The study of the place of the body in Winnicott´s theory will show the fundamental importance of real body experience as an important conquest in the maturational process.
