This is a theoretical study that researched the Modernity and Post-Modernity, aiming to investigate the social evolution of the family over the years, pointing reflections of the changes occurred on the families of contemporaneity, taking as a basis the demands of the service clinical psychology. Specifically, this study aimed to reflect on how these changes have affected families in the face of marital relations and between parents and children, and also reflect on the feelings that arise as a result of these new family relationships. This research was made possible by means of a literature review of the literature, and also in electronic database Scielo, through articles, books, magazines and discussions on the subject. It is reflected particularly on the issues of Post-Modernity affect contemporary family in their: organization, functions, responsibilities, duties, behaviors, attitudes of its members, as well as on the clinical psychologist should be prepared to meet such demands. It tried to establish a correlation between social changes, and how people are experiencing these different situations, clashing what is present in the literature is confirmed in clinical psychology. From clinical cases seen by the researcher during his 34 years of experience, there was a reflection on the theme. Among other phenomena emerged in Post-Modernity can observe the immediacy, hedonism, consumerism, the questioning of absolute truths, the checkmate of romantic love. In this context notes the need of psychotherapist reassess their values, have clarity of their positions in order to cope with the demands that arise on the day of his office |
