This historical research aims the study of São Joaquim Boarding school and The Salesiano Gymnasio practices, between the years 1902 and 1928. Doing an incursion through classrooms, study rooms, courtyard, dining-halls and dormitories, it aims to show what and how were practiced the activities to the formation of the young Salesiano as a good Christian and honest citizen. Through the interpretation of iconographic sources and writing, from the valorization of several individuals and environments present in the educative process, it seeks to demonstrate how the scholar quotidian of the institution was. The research is based on the documentation found in the documentation centre of the Gymnasio, the CDOC, particularly in the magazine of its bosom entitled O Gremio . The proceedings referring to the institution administration such as enrolments, marks, military activities developed by the students are also used. Commemorative books of the institution and bibliography towards the History of the Salesianos and of the boarding schools in Brazil were checked as well |
