Resumo: |
This research aims at detecting and examining linguistic-enunciative-discursive marks in three speeches of Michel Temer, ex-president of Brazil (2016-2018): the inaugural speech as interim in the presidency (12/05/2016); a speech to the press (05/18/2017), in which there is a denial of resignation; a tribute to the Tiradentes day (20/04/2018). The first responds, to a greater extent, to the impeachment of Dilma Rousseff from the position of president, the second, to political pressures regarding the possibility of Michel Temer leaving the position of head of the executive branch, and the third concerns with the image of the speaker in the face of groups opposing the political figure he represents, in order to compare him with a historical figure. The hypothesis of the present investigation is that the speeches places a social historical subject, a political figure (FP) circumscribed by neoliberal values (HARVEY, 2008, ANDERSON, 1995). To try to prove it, we based on the theoretical and methodological basis of the dialogical discourse analysis (ADD), mobilizing the notions of ideological sign / ideology, concrete utterance and sphere of activity (VOLÓCHINOV, 2013, 2017), hidden and open polemic (BAKHTIN, 1997), dialogical relations and speech genres (BAKHTIN, 2003, 2016). The criteria we defined for choosing the corpus relate to the fact that the three speeches belong to the same enunciative and parliamentary voice, to a time frame of approximately one year between the speeches and constitute three types of enunciative organization distinct from the political sphere: speech as interim president, speech made to the press and televised speech. The methodology used starts from the description of the linguistic marks, in excerpts of the speeches, which place the enunciators/interlocutors (BENVENISTE, 1976, 1989) and the themes on which the political figure is based and, in a second moment, focuses on understanding which social groups are brought in harmonic or polemic form in the utterances, in order to point to values unveiled in the political language. The results showed that all speeches have ideological signs that circumscribe neoliberal and controversial values that guarantee their finish according to specific genres of the political sphere and showed that in order to validate the respective discursive projects of the three speeches, the political figure needs to maintain a harmonious dialogue with the dominant political and economic class, hidden polemic with the opposite political group (1st and 3rd speeches) and openly against opposing groups: the legal sector (2nd speech) and part of the political class (1st and 3rd speeches) |
