Resumo: |
The research investigates the relation between professional education and youth, as part of professional education in the middle level, having as reference the interests of the youth, concerning its trajectory and the expectative they express between school and future. The study has as research participants the young students from Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia de São Paulo (IFSP), the old CEFET-SP. The data was collected in 2009, having used as the research instrument an attitude scale, which was prepared according to Likert method. The final sample which was used as the basis for the analysis is composed of 81 students, who were registered in technical courses integrated and without linkages with the secondary school, predominantly in an age group between 14 and 17 years old, and male ones. The used method, contains an empirical research made with the aim of analyzing the students opinions about: the professional education objectives, the reasons why they chose a technical course, their future expectations, their understanding about the stimulus to the continuity of their studies and what the technical formation received represents. In order to elaborate the research instrument affirmations, a documental research was made with selected sources: legislation, documents from Ministério da Educação (MEC) and from IFSP, trying to check the correspondence between the purposes of the professional education and the expectations of the young students and graduated from the technical courses. The mainly hypothesis is that there are divergences between the young students expectations concerning their future and the expectations that these young students think that the industrial society expect from them, in other words, getting inserted in the job market as soon as they finish their technical education. The results show divergencies between the educational legislation objectives and the future expectations of the young students. The basic concepts that guide the research, which were prepared by the Critical Theory, are: education, emancipation, formation and adaptation (Adorno), industrial society, unidimensional thought and technological racionality (Marcuse); social alienation and social division of labor (Marx) |
