The processes that shape the functioning of public schools are public education policies. Initially, for the elaboration of these policies, it is necessary to understand the current condition of education in the state, in order, from this, to corroborate with the continuity of ideas that leverage the public education network. The present work examines the elaboration of public policies for education in the state of Piauí and the impacts of the educational opportunity that materialized. In addition, it investigates the guidelines of public policies established in the state of Piauí; examines whether the right to education was consolidated in the context of the federative entity and; analyzes how the management of educational policy is implemented in the public school system in Piauí. In order to investigate the educational path that took place in the state of Piauí, it reveals which public policies consolidated the development of the federal entity in education. Although it is not possible to automatically reproduce all the actions and results achieved in the state of Piauí and some of its municipalities, it is understood that this journey to transform education leaves as its main lesson the proof that even under conditions of poverty and other socioeconomic constraints, it is possible to break this cycle of failure through school. Having scientific diplomacy as a theoretical basis, the approach will be of a qualitative nature, presenting national and international indicators related to education. Exploratory research is also applied, given that a greater proximity to the problem to be studied is possible, and finally, the presentation of a case study of the state of Piauí, of the capital Teresina, is used. city of Oeiras, and the city of Domingos Mourão, which had the democratization of educational management as a tool that enabled qualitative development? of education, marked by a co-participative management, guaranteeing the autonomy of educational managers and secretaries, with their well-defined attributions |
