Resumo: This work seeks to investigate how is done the mythologic elements´ translation by comics, how the ancient mythology participates axiology and expressively in order to determinate the employed re-creation processes in the course between their original forms and their appropriated present forms. For this development the work was divided into three main phases. The first one appoints a comics introductory contextualization and states the research problematic and the study object s clipping; the second one develops the semiotics analysis of the chosen corpus, meaning to describe and analyze in it, through the sense generative path, the mythologies proceedings of trans-creation; the third phase conclusively considers the sense effects of the mythological transversality brought from antiquity to modernity. The research is supported theoretically on A. J. Greimas and collaborators semiotics. On the final phase it takes beyond A. J. Greimas narrative grammar, V. Propp s theoretical referential regarding the marvelous tale. It also summons to the mythological study, beyond own Greimas, M. Eliade. Comic s magazines sign to take a role of broadcasting a modern mythology which is analyzed in The Savage Sword of Conan, which shows plenteous inter-discursive translations of mythological elements, beyond a re-taken of the protagonist s anti-heroism, also dispatching to ancient mythic tales. Initially born as a character of tales of the kind sword and sorcery, of early 1930 decade created by R. E. Howard, Conan is re-launched in 1970 decade as a protagonist of comics magazines, of which were studied the magazine s editions that embrace two Howard s tales adapted to comics. These tales are The Tower of the Elephant and Beyond the Black River, choices that are justified for the respective representation of the beginning and maturity of the character s life as a hero . This clipping also stands out the proposal of a re-creation of a human environment by the anti-heroism and divine by ancient mythologic deities presence. The research conclusions appoint to the creation of a new mythology that approximates the ancient myth to the present addressee s world, to his life and value context, foremost, raising questions regarding nature that adapts to the discursive scene. These sense effects, promoters of myths ressemantization in its temporal crossing work as resultants from human believing need, that in the text is asserted only while a reality s continent
