This text approaches the field of studies that intersects religion and sexuality, specifically evangelical and sexuality. An attempt was made to map the works produced from the 1990s to 2020, inserting them into a network of knowledge-powers, thus questioning why and how evangelical sexuality has been questioned in the last thirty years. Thus, theses, dissertations and articles on the subject in question were researched and cataloged. Then, the analytical trajectories of Foucault's archeology and genealogy were used to frame the field of studies, analyzing the conditions of possibility of this area of knowledge and the way of its development. Finally, the place of the science of religion in the constitution and development of this field of studies that relates religion to sexuality, notably evangelical sexuality, is questioned
