This work is a historical study about the initial process of creation of the Unified Educational Center, which was implemented in the Marta Suplicy management in front of the Municipality of São Paulo, between 2001 and 2004. The question that is investigated in this study is to understand, the from the legislative and executive powers, as did the initial process of creating the CEU project. For that, we considered the studies of Carlos Bacellar (2005) that problematizes the uses and bad uses of the public archives and proposes a working methodology for the treatment of this type of source. The objectives were to investigate how legal and political obstacles were overcome; to understand the representations about the creation of the project, based mainly on academic research, based on the studies of Roger Chartier (1990), dedicated to the study of Cultural History through practices and representations. When investigating the Unified Educational Center as an Educational Institution, we bring the studies of Justino Magalhães (2004), which, when dealing with the history of educational institutions, proposes a theoretical-methodological process for the study of this type of object. And, finally, we will mobilize the expanded concepts of memory and monument document, developed by Jacques Le Goff (2014) |
