Resumo: The decades of 1930 and 1940 consolidated as historical moment of valorization of the Education, which reason of attention of Getulio Vargas is constituted, that unchained reformation in all your structure. In that period, the School Physical Education acquired prominence in the educational politics of national ambit and it became meditated in the constitutional documents and in the reforms of the secondary teaching, in the case the Reforma Campos and the Reforma Capanema, executed, respectively, in the year of 1931, for the then supply Francisco Campos and, in 1942, for minister Gustavo Capanema, which stayed in vigor up to 1961. This research intends to watch the historical course of the School physical education in Getulio Vargas's governments in the decades of 1930, 1940 and 1950. To compose this picture, it was fallen back upon the documental group of written sources and photographical analyzed in dialogue with the oral reports of six subjects concerning your existences, whose theoretical-methodological approach was ruled in the oral history. The group documental oral was constituted by the six physical education teachers' reports - four men and two women, with paths in the school process, as well as in the formation course and beginning of the educational performance in the atmosphere public school private and/or, located among the decades of 1930 and 1960. The teachers' experiences so much in the students' condition, as well as of teachers, they pointed out the relevance of the educational politics of the period in the systematize of the teaching of the physical education and in the legitimation of practices and procedures, as well as they waived for the perspectives of changes that were conjectured in the area and they placed in subject the permanence of the method of effective teaching. However, that change perspective was not translated in an immediate way in a transformation in practice the interviewees' teacher, in the measure in that they were observed in the teachers' performance, references to the use of the French Method although in correlation to the other methodological proposals, as well as to the permanence of procedures and practices legitimated in Governos Vargas's educational politics, the ones which, although moved of your original purpose, they continued representing in the daily of the School physical education per decades, being observed even at the present time. Among them the development of separate classes is pointed out by sex (masculine and feminine) and/or of different corporal practices for boys and girls. The configuration of the physical education was noticed in the school context in the confluence of processes that, if on a side they demarcated her/it legally as a practice instituted, determining your purposes, means and purposes, of other printed to your path an own dynamics in compasses with the changes that were processed in the context historical, political, social and educational
