Resumo: This research has as theme the mobilizations of high school students, during mid-2015 and early 2016, which were organized in protests and occupations inside schools, contrary to the measure of school reorganization, proposed at the time by the São Paulo State Education Secretariat. Based on the experience of five young people who participated in this movement, sought to investigate which values motivated their actions and the influences that this event had on their lives and worldviews. The method consisted in application of interviews that were supported, both in the construction of the questions and in the interpretation of the answers, in the contributions of concepts from the Frankfurt School, mainly of the theorist Theodor W. Adorno. The conclusion was that the formative experience they had in school occupations was decisive for their lives and that the school represented a privileged place that made this experience possible
