Resumo: International Cooperation emerged with the consolidation of the Peace of Westphalia, which ended the Thirty Years War. The act of cooperating is an organic principle present in the international community, just like the promotion of peace; a set of rules, principles, and values that consolidate the concept of providing support, in various forms, to States that are unable to develop independently. The objective to be explored in this master’s thesis is to understand the perspectives of the emergence and conceptualization of International Cooperation, as well as the main challenges that this international regime faces in the current reality, while observing the influence that economic and political aspects have on the act of cooperation among international legal actors. Historically, it can be noted that certain rules have been incorporated into domestic legislation; an example being the extraction of rules from International Cooperation agreements. It is important to emphasize that the principle of International Cooperation is enshrined in Article 4 of the 1988 Brazilian Federal Constitution and in the United Nations Charter. This master’s thesis was conducted through bibliographic research from various sources, such as doctrine, scientific articles, videos, podcasts, with the aim of exploring the presented topic through a qualitative approach of documentary research using the deductive method
