Percepções sobre a educação continuada no formato MBA pelo executivo em sua carreira: um estudo de caso em São Paulo

Resumo: From the Decade of 2000 witnessed a huge demand for continuing education courses in the MBA format, because the current world requires innovation and quick replies, requiring, therefore, a continuous learning able to qualify the executives to act in their careers in constant transformations. This research presents a research on the perceptions of the executives on the results achieved in their careers with the completion of the continuing education course in MBA format. The dissertation is a panorama on the evolution of the career, since its origin till the present day and as executives need to prepare to maintain their employability and competitiveness in the labour market, also discusses about the skills required by today's professionals and the importance of knowledge forms, modes of continuous conversion and knowledge management. This research was done with the technique of single case study based on quantitative approach (survey) and qualitative. The unit of analysis in this study were alumni of the past four years of MBA (Executive and Executive in finance) Insper (Teaching and Research Institute), located in São Paulo. For data collection has been sent an electronic search through questionnaire for 350 alumni of the institution in question being answered 72, corresponding to 20,5% of the universe of the sample. The results obtained allow to affirm that the perception of the executives as to the realization of the MBA course in his career is positive, in addition, the survey also pointed out that "leadership skills", "flexibility" and "learning to learn" were recognized as skills developed by executives during the MBA course. It is also possible to say that the main contribution brought by the course was the "acquisition of comprehensive business vision". Less valued executives constructs were about security implied employability and the acquisition of technical knowledge on MBA courses. Were observed four different profiles of respondents compared to constructs searched, separated into four groups: Group of the concordant with the course in General, containing the majority of respondents; neutral group as to the results of the course; concordant group with lower relationship network (network), which was developed with the course and the dissenting group of safety diploma as to employability. Suggestions for future surveys will be provided
