Gestão de escola e tecnologia: administrativo e pedagógico, uma relação complexa

Resumo: This dissertation presents a study of the school manager and his action to integrate/articulate ali administrative and pedagogical aspects into his work. In addition, this work evaluates the use of Informational and Communication Tecnology as an extra resource in school management. In state schools, democratic management is a legal necessity, but it is still a challenge to principais since they need to get their staff involved in the planning and implemetltation of the school pedagogical-political project. Since the principal's action is the coordenation of the collective action, his work can not be reduced simply to the realization of burocratic tasks. In this sense, the principal needs to have a wider view which takes into consideration the vast network of human relations and the complexity of human organizations. To answer the main question and its consequences, a qualitative research was made whose subject was three city school principals from three Primary city schools in Sâo Paulo. The investigation started withthe observation of some aspects of the school culture in arder to pick up the observable characteristics of the daily round and to get to know the manner in which people express themselves in their daily tasks. Pincipals, pedagogical coordenators and teachers contributed to outline each school's organizational climate. Finally, structured interviews were carried on with the schools principals with the aim of understanding their point of view about their own work. The analyses of the three principais' reports showed different managerileht styles which are reflected in the way they deal with Tecnological resources. Some evidence also appeared that contributed to the understanding of the work of articulation of the manager such as the integration with the tecnical staff, the followingup of the pedagogical work and the maintenance of a climate of mutual confidence and the valorization of the work of teaching among others
