Resumo: The following research had as a main target the investigation of a bullying aspect Mean Names How children feel and react as victims of this process . Under Henri Wallon's genetic psychology and his theoretical presuppositions about affectivity, a field study was engendered qualitative nature to amplify the understanding of this phenomenon. The collected data indicate psychological suffering and even extreme reactions from children with mean names, inside a public institution São Paulo downtown exempted of actions and contention procedures. This research was done with teenagers from the 7th and 8th grades, elementary school with ages between 13 and 14 years old. Bullying is a world wide phenomenon attacking young people without social, economical or politics distinction. In the present research, the children s reaction under mean names were deeply examined and suggested as the starting point of bullying occurrences
