This dissertation is based on the need to explore the social assistance vigilance (SAV) condition of producing and serving the working class. From this perspective, this research has sought to analyze the ethical-political assumptions, in methodologicaltheoretical and operational-technical dimensions, which conform to the production of knowledge in this function, from experiences of implementation in the cities of Louveira/SP and Vinhedo/SP. Therefore, it was sought to comprehend which are the present variables in processes and contents related to SAV work, which intend to defend and guarantee access to social assistance rights. It is understood that the SAV field is theoretical, technical, and methodologically challenging, and that ethicalpolitical, methodological-theoretical, and operational-technical aspects are not previously determined facts, considering historical characteristics, the social assistance struggle and tension of interests in the playing field for political and social recognition. Social assistance vigilance work cannot be linked to uniquely administrative contents, drained of critical power, but it must, on the other hand, compose itself as a collection of practices and interactions with social and political interests, in favor of the working class. Therefore, as to enable social assistance vigilance to establish itself as an expressive force in the social assistance attention model, which ratify citizenship, it is necessary to consider the technical commitment in the sense of materializing, improving and institutionalizing SAV processes, practices, and products. The apprehension of VSA social work expresses an important and fundamental matter: the objective capability to link the social assistance attention offer to the perspective of achieving social assistance rights |
