Resumo: |
This research deals with the formative possibilities of sport in classes of Physical Education. The object of study is based on the following questions and their possible implications: Can sport contribute to the formation? , What are the attitudes, the feelings and the values possibly roused by sport with all its techniques, physical efforts and rules? The goals of this study are to identify and to analyze the possible feelings, attitudes and values roused by sport and to interpret their possible influences in the student formation. The proposed hypothesis is that sport, as an expression of a contradictory society, functions ambiguously in the formation, according to particular conditions of organization and participation of the students in the sportive practice. The subjects of the research are students of Ensino Médio regularly engaged in sport practice in classes of Physical Education, trainings and school competitions. They were submitted to a semistructured interview. The theoretic reference is the Critical Theory, mainly T. W. Adorno s ideas, as well as studies in the area of Physical Education which have as subject sport in the school context. The results of this research indicate the following tendencies: valorization of technique as a mean to reach defined goals, which are, however, overvalorized, underlining, in this sense, the pragmatic sense of technique; comprehension of rules as a way to organize the actions of the players in the moment of the game, changes being possible in order to allow all the students participate; manifestation of attitudes related to the recognition of the need to respect the own limits as well as the possibility to overcome them; manifestation of attitudes and feelings related to concern and unconcern to the other |
