Resumo: The woman entering the labor market, in the context of technological change was due to changes in labor relations that have gained new meanings. New challenges arise for organizations that need to be more flexible and transparent to live with the internal diversity, allowing the interaction between men and woman. This study will delineate gender and competence to understand the role of woman in the labor market, checking perception in relation to their work, job or career in order to understand the barriers that impede their professional growth as well as factors that contribute to differential reach the leading position. After conducting 36 interviews with woman, it was realized that woman s presence is increasingly visible in the workplace. The way to gain leadership positions in an organization also requires that they are prepared to face the competitiveness and discrimination because they are woman
