The study presented here is a stamp of qualitative research, based on historical and materialist dialectic method, which raises issues such as socioeconomic, political and cultural, on families fumicultoras, create conditions for the early work of children and adolescents in the family farming in the Passo do Sobrado - RS. The main objective is to investigate how these families recognise child labour before the need for survival of the family group and the process of education, socialization and repassing of cultural values. Specific objectives of this study is subdivided into: know the main reasons leading to the insertion of the workforce in activities geared to children working in agriculture or domestic work in the context of fumicultura in the Passo do Sobrado; unravel as the meanings Assigned to contribute to child labour insertion of children and adolescents in the family farming; investigate how the family is related in the domestic space and in the workplace, to the survival and improvements in family income.
