Resumo: This research aimed to study the issue of presence and permanence of the person of Managers and Educators Marist Laity in establishments such as pacemakers and developers of educational proposal Marist, improving the climate of responsibility between the laity and the Marist Brothers, and her thirty people participated, ten Marist ten managers and ten lay lay educators who work in establishments Marist education in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre. The field research, qualitative, was taken through individual interviews using questionnaires, semi-structured questions, different for each of the groups surveyed, resulting in rich material to substantiate the content analysis of this case study. The theoretical framework was based on the historical aspects of the Institute, the foundation to the present time, life and educational project of the founder, Saint Marcellin Champagnat, the expansion around the world, including Brazil and RS, and the highlight was the changes that occurred in the world, the Church and education as well as on paper and walk the laity in religious schools. With the data collected, it was possible to perceive the relevance and novelty of the academic theme of the laity as stimulators and propagators of Marist educational proposal, while it was evident the need to invest in the care and training of these people. Data were analyzed using the methodology of content analysis proposed by Bardin, and resulted in several categories and subcategories and accurately reflect trust and what was searched. This research highlighted the most significant features evident in the intentional action of lay Marist schools, with regard to their spheres of action and the role of stimulators Marist educational proposal, taking prospects to be useful and applicable in the management and governance of the Marist stores teaching RS.
