The research and teaching of research in social work graduate are issues that in the Brazilian occupation history at the Social Work, have occupied the professionals attention at the studies center and the organizations representing the category, especially the Teaching Brazilian Association and Research in Social Work. The objective of this study was to analyze the teaching of search in graduation Social Work courses, seeking for one understanding of its scope of scientific training and professional social worker process. The field of search has grown within the southern region, together social work graduate courses and had as participants, teachers and students involved directly with the Research disciplines in Social Work and coordinators of course. The process of research is maintained in procedures and methodological resources that allowed systematize and analyze the material theoretical and empirical. This study addresses the formative processes experienced by the Brazilian Social Workers, from different curriculum and the minimum curriculum guidelines in work, defining the search position. It searches problems of teaching by research from theoretical and methodological assumptions as educational principles. It Dimensions the education size in the search process of a social worker formation, from learning of new knowledge, procedures and professional skills at the same time, developing educational challenges to be faced. Through this study, it is possible to demonstrate that the teaching of the search is concentrated in specific disciplines, being processed from standards benchmarks that seek to form social work searchers. The implementation of horizontality of the research that training is an important challenge to be faced, since the management of teaching experience of search limits under the proper courses or in areas of organizational institutions of higher learning. The crucial importance of search of professional social worker training is reported to the necessity to strategically rethink the form of teaching as generators of educational processes that ensure the interdisciplinary involvement with search and search at Social Work graduation.
