Resumo: | Women's magazines exist in Brazil since the nineteenth century, and have appeared in parallel with the emergence of the Press in the country. However, only in the last ten years, with the introduction of graduation courses with a focus on Fashion, the scientific publications about the subject, such as books and papers, took power. Although there are records about the Fashion segment, within the social studies of Communication, is still very difficult to understand the phenomenon from this perspective. Thus, in order to put into practice analysis about Communication and Fashion, in view of the dialogue capacity that both may establish, we have proposed to take a look at images and texts of Fashion, printed in six reports of Claudia Magazine, in years 1988, 1998 and 2008. Our reflections will be anchored in the Historical-Structural Dialectic (DHE), having, as a methodological technique, the Semiology. The categories of analysis a priori, composed through presupposed of Roland Bathes are: Photography, Culture, Power, Myth and Sociolect, with the emergence a posteriori of the categories and Color and Repetition. Therefore, in the first phase of work, we will bring a brief review about the history of magazines in the Brazilian press. Next, we will remember the formats and contents that were approached. Therefore, we will talk about continuity and permanence of a press focused on women or made by them. We will cite examples of remarkable political moments for the country's press and its relationship with the illustrated magazines. We will bring to light the segmentation of magazines as well as main publications focused on the niche of the women and, in special, the fashion. Following we will focus on Claudia Magazine and will tell its trajectory. After, we will present the theory base of our research. In the second phase we have accomplished the semiological reading of reports and have observed the evidences. We note that, the senses produced by us, relate to the actual historical and social moment, without escaping from our interpretation as researchers. Thus it is, only one of the possible truths to be told. |
