Resumo: This paper aims to analyze the manifestations of the so popularized nowadays Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity under light of psychoanalysis. In order to achieve such objective, we elaborated two technical articles, one theoretical and the other, empirical. The first one, “Attention deficit and Hyperactivity: a psychoanalytical perspective”, is a literature review on the subject and intends to situate this subjectmatter under the sight of the neurobiological paradigm and the psychoanalytical paradigm. The theoretical review on the subject broaches different authors who work these problems from the psychoanalytical perspective which starts with Freud’s presumptions, and going to more contemporaneous authors, who make a rereading of the fundamental concepts of psychoanalysis, as Jean Laplanche and Sílvia Bleichmar. In this article we emphasize the contribution a psychoanalytical “sight” can proportionate in the comprehension of such manifestations. With the second article, “Hyperactivity and Inattention: the subject’s destinies?”, we try to stand out, through the illustration of two clinical situations, the importance of a metapsychological diagnosis for the understanding of such behavioral manifestations and the comprehension of the possible senses in each situation. The study has shown the importance that an approach which considers the subject in his subjectivity and singularity can offer to the comprehension of hyperactivity and inattention behaviors, and open the possibilities of intervention in such situations as well.
