Bioética com animais e preservação: uma abordagem na disciplina de Biologia do ensino médio

Resumo: This research involved two groups of Education of young and adult students (EJA) of nocturnal education, in a public school. The activities in classroom had been developed as a unit of thematic study, in the ecology part of the Biology. The main objective was to evaluate the knowledge and previous ideas of the pupils regarding subjects as preservation of species threatened of extinguishing and ethical behavior wit the animals, as well as its modification in elapsing of the research. As instruments of acquisition of data regarding the opinions of the students, thematic questionnaires had been applied, with real situations, in which the pupils had been expressed their opinions on the subjects. The questionnaires had been applied in the initial and final phase of the project. In the course of the development of the activities, the pupils had read and argued selected texts and had later debated lesson, developing writings on the chosen subjects. For analysis of the collected data, a qualitative boarding was used, by means of discursive textual analysis, according to Moraes (2003). Using the analysis of the data, it can be noticed that certain attitudes are unacceptable, of the ethical point of view, for the pupils, as in serious cases of animal maltreatment. The subjects most controversial, as the cattle slaughter in frigorific, had greater division of opinions between the pupils. The thematic ones related to the ethical behaviors with animals, as the vivisection in university and centers of research and the cattle slaughter in frigorific, are acceptable for many of the students, since that the ethical norms for these practical are taken care.One observed that, even so the majority of the students express their preoccupation with the welfare dos animals, few have practical attitudes the respect, and, when they make it, generally they are the animals of its restricted relation. The results had shown that, with the study and debate of these subjects in class room, that are a problematic one lived deeply for the community, it is possible to promote a bigger reflection about of these questions. As result, development of the capacity of expression of the pupils was evidenced the respect of these subjects, with evolution in their writings arguments, although in the practical one has even not been evidenced changes in its action.
