Resumo: | The treatment for temporomandibular disorders, increasingly a challenge for professionals who intend to address this joint amendment. The multidisciplinary treatment may be the beginning of the solution for this disorder that affects a large portion of our population. The aim of this study consists in evaluating the treatment protocols for patients who have temporomandibular disorders, bruxism associated with using low power lasers, techniques of physiotherapy and occlusal splints myorelaxant. The study treated 13 patients, who had diagnosed TMD, associated with tooth wear and bruxism. It has been proposed for these patients a multidisciplinary treatment including: making interocclusal splint (splint miorelaxante), treatment with physiotherapy sessions and sessions of low intensity laser therapy. As evaluation method we used device dolorimeter before and after treatment. For comparison between the values of dolorimeter before and after, as they werw paired data, we used the comparison test t-student for paired samples. |
