This thesis aims to analyze the process of business internationalization in the period comprehended between 1980 and the years 2000, and its interaction with some selected state organizations. Considering the action of the Ministry of Development (Ministério do Desenvolvimento), Industry (Industria) and Foreign Trade (Comércio Exterior), the BNDES and the Apex, we seek to establish the cooperative relationship between state and private companies in the process of international integration. Also, in the view of this analysis, by evidencing the cooperative process between state and private companies in search of their multinationalization, we propose that the international insertion of Brazil, economic and political, occured based on the organization and performance of the state following the developmentalism orientation and that its effective international integration eventually overcome the limits offered by the traditional paradigms of liberalism and structuralism. This research was developed analyzing information and documents available on the websites of the above named state organizations.
