Resumo:	This research consists of a case study, which aims to analyze the organizational structure of the Assembly of God church from the city of Canoas,RS. Thus, this paper discusses the history of this religious organization, in Brazil, in Rio Grande do Sul and in Canoas; it’s growth in the 1990’s, it’s administrative structure based on conventions, fields, districts, congregations, evangelistic centers and departments; it’s form of ecclesiastical government, in comparative analysis with the ecclesiastical government of the Assemblies of God of the Metropolitan Region of the city of Rio de Janeiro, RJ; the places of worship, the relations of power, the practices and strategies of it’s leaders.
