The present study has the objective to check the existence of a robust relationship between the exports and Brazilian economic growth in period 1996-2005, by panel data estimations, in terms of state exports, as well as intensive-factor aggregation standing by Pavitt (1984). The hypotheses are base on the theory and empirics studies that are presented in the body of the study. It was verified that state exports contributed with 0,35% for the economic growth of Brazil to each 1% of increase of exports, ratifying the different theories and empirics studies, that support that the exports impact in economic growth.
