Resumo: | The domestic violence is considered a public health issue and a violation of the human rights. The importance of studying this issue is found both in the psychic suffering that engenders as the effects that produces in the familiar people, because what is observed, it is the perpetuation of the violence across generations. Investigating the dynamic that contribute significantly in the establishment of the romantic relationships in which result the violence against woman it seems crucial to find ways to end this adversity. This dissertation aims to study the influence of the life history in the women’s marital choice who suffer domestic violence. It is composed of three sections. The first section is a theoretical one and it had as an objective to address the contributions of psychoanalysis about marital choice and its psychic effects. It was considered the possibility of this choice represent an imprisonment in repetitive patterns of relationship or to make possible the acquisition/transformation of the internal resources capable to move the subject to the marital happiness/satisfaction and, also, personal. The second section, empirical (developed from qualitative methodological assumption), presents the study which responds to the research project and 12 women participated. All women responded to a Personal and Sociodemographics Data Sheet and to a Semi-Structured Interview guided by three main areas: a) the history of life of the participant; b) the marital choices; and c) the violence situation lived currently and the search for help. The findings were analyzed by the Content Analysis Method and interpreted with the psychoanalysis assumptions. They were identified register units that resulted in three final categories (illustrated with vignettes of the participant’s statement): a) violence experiences and helplessness in life history: the daily excess; b) the loving choices: the disillusion in the repetition scenario and c) search to the independence: possibility of “Transform-Action”. The aspects addressed allow comprehending the domestic violence as a life history marked by traumatic experiences that move these women, through the repetition compulsion, to the marital choice in which promote a violent scenario. It is proposed an expression Transform- Action as an alternative of the understanding of a possibility to the end the violence, because it is believed that when you name the excess that invaded the psyche of these women, it becomes easier to integrate the psychic excitations and then to free themselves of the repetition compulsion circuit. It is understood that the resources and strategies of prevention for the domestic violence should consider in an imperative way the relevance of offering to these women who are victim of this phenomenon a listening space in which witnesses to the suffering of these women and to offer a relationship based in the respect and care, perhaps never lived by these women. The third and last theoretical section examines the support network which is available to assist these women who are victim of violence and the last section also talks about the historical emergence, as well as it is identified the actual situation of the support network in the country. |
