Resumo: By investing in projects, organizations seek to achieve their objectives and investments spent on human and material resources generate results translated into profits, competitive advantage, sustainability, financial return, among other organizational results. Although scholars have contributed to many researches on project management since the twentieth century, it is also known that there is a wide field of study on the factors that provide good project performance. Such research opportunity is notoriously understandable when analyzing corporate statistics that reflect negative numbers on project performance indicators and the low success rates of successful projects. Antagonistic to low success rates in projects, corporate entrepreneurship is being used by organizations that seek economic sustainability, and the intrapreneur, who can be considered a collaborator who proactively seeks actions that aim for the benefit of the organization, can in itself represent a competitive advantage, benefiting the organization in the search for positive results. This work sought to investigate the effect of intrapreneur behavior of project managers on project success. The quantitative research method allowed to analyze a database composed by 411 answers provided by collaborators who acted as project managers in an automotive industry, scope of this study. The results confirmed the hypotheses proposed in the research, among them the positive relationship between intrapreneur behavior and project success. The practical contribution achieved with this study was to identify the importance of developing the intrapreneur behavior of these professionals or seek to recruit professionals with this profile, aiming at maximizing the results of corporate projects. In academic terms, this work contributed to the deepening of studies on factors that influence project success. In the horizon of new research, it is possible to suggest qualitative studies to explore how the competences of the intrapreneur influence positively the results of projects.
