Resumo: The software construction activity is present in most business segments and in all sizes, since increasingly the software is used as a tool for productivity, communication, management and control, and therefore has great relevance in the economic activity of the country . In order for this sector to be increasingly competitive, nationally and internationally, it is necessary to understand the processes used throughout the software construction cycle, if these processes are sustainable and generate direct and indirect benefits from the economic, social and environmental point of view . The objective of this work is to develop a framework that proposes a set of activities processes and methods for software companies and software sectors within companies of other segments to apply in their day to day, improving or adapting their proceduressses in the direction of sustainable practicesocesses for the construction of software. In order to elaborate this framework, a bibliographicmetric researchvision was developed for a better understanding of the topic in the literature, which identified 144 steps for the proposed framework. These steps were validated with 68 micro and small and medium-sized companies in the software segment with different times of activity in the market and levels of adoption of methodologies in their main activity. Information collection took place through semi-structured interviews with the support of a form for the collection of information and was applied to the managers of those companies that were directly involved with the organization, planning and management of software construction in their companies. Through the data collected in these interviews it was found through analysis that although MSEs do not formally worry about sustainable procedures and activities, they already use practices directly associated with environmental sustainability because they bring cost reduction. Regarding the economic and social aspects, there was low recognition and adherence to these practices.
