Resumo: This present study searches the changes perception and description that have structured the concept of business process for continual improvement and their reflections on organizational learning. These reflections are more effective in the presence of the availability from actual resources, and from information technology. The changes represent an organizational innovation, once they implicate in administration changes. Therefore, this study explores conceptions related to organizational innovation, business process and organizational learning, as well as several perspectives. Qualitative methods were used to the inferences, by a case study in two Brazilian companies whose implemented business process tools in their information systems. The study exposed that management tools focused on continuous improvement, which were developed internally in the organizations under analysis and which were made available on intranet, has presented the capacity of structuring learning networks, and when the dynamic use these tools results in developing and transferring knowledge, the learning process finishes its cycle and represents an organizational innovation.
