The continuous improvement and therefore the satisfaction of all stakeholders is a permanent objective of managers and is part of the strategy of organizations. Because of that, organizations invest in technological improvement, in improvement of their work processes and in management models that ensure administrative efficiency and effectiveness in its management. This study aims to verify the level of maturity of a management system in the maintenance area of a passenger transportation company in Brazil, based on the self-assessment proposed by ABNT NBR ISO 9004:2010. We conducted a field research and literature review using the case study method.. The results obtained show that the strategic management managers recognize that the model for self-assessment and the requirements proposed by ISO-9004: 2010 are applicable for performance evaluation of the management system and that the existing system is not yet in its highest level of maturity. |
