Resumo: The supply chain coordinated work can eliminate inefficiencies and generate significant savings. The connection among information technology systems of different companies can contribute to coordination and integration of a supply chain. The implementation of connection technologies is not easy, because involve high investments and the benefits are not always clear for companies involved in the process. Many companies resist in adopting the inter-organizational systems (connection systems among different companies) and only make it to assist their trade partners. This study is an exploratory research, accomplished through a case study that, verifies how is the use of connection technologies by a company that adopted this kind of system motivated by trade partners induction. The study is accomplished in a auto-parts manufacturing company and revealed a series of interesting aspects regarding the problems, difficulties and the perception of benefits that the use of connection technologies might have brought for an organization that, initially it was induced to use the interorganizational systems.
