The increasing interest of organizations and indicators of scientific literature about project management reveal the importance of this issue has acquired nowadays. However, although ongoing efforts in well manage projects, many institutions do not make full use of lessons learned. The literature indicates several reasons for this, such as organizational culture, time, motivation, techniques and resources not available. Face this scenario, this study searched how the lessons learned management influences the project management in a project-based company using a unique case study technique. The organization selected as a case for this study was the multinational Siemens, a company internationally recognized for your world program of project management, created in 2001 with the aim of improving and expanding the culture of project management in yours several business areas. The results indicates that despite a well structured methodology in project management and a favorable environment for knowledge management, there are no sufficient procedures to guide the development of practical lessons learned in this organization. This scenario conduce to distinct forms and levels of management lessons learned in different areas of the organization, the difficulty of share experiences in the organization as a whole and, an under-utilization of knowledge. In this direction, starting from the theoretical and research findings are identified recommendations for the redefinition process of management lessons learned in order to contribute to the performance of project management. |
