Resumo: |
An inverse correlation between age and wound healing has been discussed, as it relates to the association of aging with a gradual decrease in healing capacity. Low-level laser therapy has been indicated for wound healing by inducing an increase in mitotic activity, a number of fibroblasts, collagen synthesis and neovascularization. The aim of this study was to analyze and compare the effect of low level laser therapy on wound healing using an experimental model in young and aged rats .A total of 60 male rats, of which were 30 young (30 days) and 30 aged (500 days) was used . The animals were divided into four experimental groups and underwent skin wound and treatment with Laser (660nm, 30 mW, 1.07 W/cm2 , 0.028 cm2 , 72 J/ cm2, 2 J) . Analyses were conducted to verify the effects of LLLT in the tissue repair process, in the gene expression and protein expression of TNF - ??, IL - 1?? and IL- 10 ,obtained in skin wound model .The results showed that there were significant differences between the young control group and the aged control group and their respective trated groups ( young and aged). We conclude that low level laser therapy accelerated the process of tissue repair , reduced gene and protein expression of IL - 1?? and TNF - ?? and increased protein expression of IL - 10 in both treated groups (young and aged) , however in young treated group the results were more expressive. |
