Resumo: |
The PM (Project Management), has gained importance in organizations to be considered a tool that increases the efficiency of projects, enabling better cost control , schedule and quality of projects managed under the methodology . The traditional definition of success in PM is based on the triple constraint (cost / schedule / quality), for all kinds of projects. In contrast to this approach the adaptive approach suggests by althors who argue that each project should be measured and managed differently. Within this approach includes the view that the project manager must take the role of a team leader, and that human and relational issues are relevant to project performance. This work consists of a quantitative research that relates projects critical success factors with leadership skills. To define the capabilities to be studied, 4 leadership theories were the basis for the study. The results demonstrate that the project manager leadership skills significantly impacts some success factors while others were not affected. The understanding of how project managers leadership skills impact the project critical success factors, can bring greater effectiveness in the project managers hiring and developing process, as well as assist organizations and managers that use techniques and project management tools to better define critical success factors of projects. To project managers, this research may help in understanding how to mobilize their leadership skills more effectively, in order to generate positive results and superior performance in their projects. |
