This essay consists of an investigation on professional projects and life projects of students from professional education integrated with high school courses offered by Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology. The research question here is: Do students from management technical courses integrated with high school at Piau?? Federal Institute (IFPI) ??? S??o Raimundo Nonato Campus have professional and life projects? What do those projects comprise and what contributions does IFPI education offer towards the realization of such projects, in the students??? perspective? We consider the hypothesis that most students do have a project, and university courses are the majority???s objective; and also that the students attribute value to knowledge of both general and specific formation in the area of management. The general goal of this research is to get to know the professional and life projects that students have, and the opinion they have as to the possible contributions from their education to realize them. Among the specific objectives are the following: investigate on the assessment made by the students in relation to the course, and the contributions of such education to the continuity of their studies, the achievement of the desired professional position and other dimension in life; and identify the socio-economic profile and the motives why they chose to study at IFPI. This is a case study with the use of methods like questionnaire, documental research and interview. The data collected were examined in light of content analysis. And the theoretical basis adopted is the Critical Theory of the School of Frankfurt, mainly the thoughts of Theodor Adorno, Max Horkheimer and Herbert Marcuse, as well as some Brazilian scholars that proceed with the reflections of those three thinkers in their studies. The results showed that the majority of students already have professional and life projects, predominantly focused on the continuity of their studies on to university levels, and their introduction onto the job market and entrepreneurship. The youths also considered that the education provided by IFPI contributed significantly to the projects realizations, both relating to the knowledge of general education and the specifics of the area.
