The search forcost reduction, quality improvementin production processesof products andservices, the fulfillmentof theobligations ofcompaniesin meeting thesocial, economic and political, and the useof equipment withtechnological advancementdemandsagenda, drawingon managementeco-efficientinpreserving the environmenthas ledsome companies toobtainimportantfor their economic, financial and environmental performance results.However,in many cases, the results are not clearly showed in financialand social instruments. In this context, this work, as acase studyand througha qualitative andquantitative approach, showedthe result ofactions aimed at eco-efficientperformanceofa university thathas implementedan equipmentdischargevacuumtoilets, helping to reduce the water consumption. Thus the use of the mass intensity approach to assess the amount of mass(abiotic, biotic and water) waivedthe environmentandenvironmental accountingapproach, obtained may assist in assessing the eco-efficient performanceof an organization. |
