Resumo: |
Waste from health care is considered to pose a high risk to public health and the environment, given its biological and chemical characteristics. When management of this waste occurs improperly, it can result in environmental damage. Thus, the management of health care waste (SSR) in public or private hospital health units has been a major challenge. This aspect justifies the development of this study project, whose objective is to evaluate the performance of the RSS management system in Hospital ???X???, identification used to the Hospital studied; in the perspective of professionals who act directly in the management of this waste. It should be mentioned that the Hospital in question refers to a governmental institution of tertiary level reference for polytraumatized patients in the care of the population of the Northern Zone of the Municipality of S??o Paulo. For the collection and recording of the data were made through the triangulation of the sources of evidence to be used as: bibliographic survey; structured questionnaire and documentary research. The data were analyzed with the help of the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and used to evaluate the hospital's RSS management system. From this analysis of the results of this research it is suggested specific protocols, indicating improvements, in order to restructure the work processes related to the management of RSS. The contribution to the theory is based on the result of the research of how the professionals that act in the management of RSS in Hospital ???X??? evaluate the performance of the GRSS system. Through the research instrument, the data presented the weaknesses in the knowledge of the professionals that manage the RSS in relation to the age group, formation, position, participation in the training, the period of work, the sectors, sex, bonding time in the institution and greater instability in the administrative sectors, corroborating in more detail with previous studies on the subject. While the contribution to practice, the analysis of the research results pointed out the actions developed in this hospital that could be adapted in other health organizations because they are specific for the institutions that perform health services and in this way contribute to the revision of the GRSS system implanted in these other instituitions and apply adjustments, in view of the progress achieved in Hospital ???X???. |
