Resumo: Introduction: Liver diseases lead to prolonged changes with significant consequences, directly interfering with the performance of activities of daily living, work, and social life. The Liver Disease Symptom Index 2.0 (LDSI) is a liver disease-specific questionnaire that assesses specific symptoms, providing important additional information to understand the patient globally. Objectives: Analyze the content measured by The Liver Disease Symptom Index 2.0 based on the concepts and categories of the International Classification of Functioning (ICF). Methodology: The translation process was carried out based on Beaton and consisted of four phases. After translation, the process of linking the LDSI items with the CIF was carried out by applying the 10 rules developed and updated by Cieza. Results: The scale linking process practically contains codes for the components of “Body Functions” (b) and “Activities and Participation” (d), with only one related to “Environmental Factors” (e). Some items did not have a specific rating and were categorized as not applicable (“NA”). Conclusion: Linkage revealed notable associations in the domains of “Body Functions” and “Activity and Participation.” The analysis highlights the relevance of a holistic approach given the complexity of liver disease
