Resumo: |
This study aims to study and reflect on the scope and contribution of the Human Rights (HR) discipline to the students' citizenship education. The inclusion of the DH theme in the teaching of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), occurs in some cases as a compulsory subject, which can result in the humanist formation of the student and contribute to the formation of more autonomous, responsible and ethical professionals. And thus, enabled to participate in social construction as protagonists of their own stories. History shows us the individual's struggle for the first time for their recognition, then for their preservation with their numerical enlargement by the passage of time, reaching rights unimaginable centuries ago. Nowadays, the role of this area of law in society is very important to the extent that we find daily movement between peoples, immigration, exodus of a population pressured by the barbaric attitudes practiced by dictators in their countries of origin, through a movement highlighted by the press refugees who have invaded the more developed countries of Europe. Education as a form of intervention in the world can not leave Human Rights alone. As a method, the observation, documentary analysis, research and interviews were used as instruments of data collection. As a base, the theoretical contributions were used in authors that deal with the topic in question, namely: BOBBIO (2004), BONAVIDES (2004), FERREIRA (1999) FREIRE (1997, 2015) PIOVESAN (2003), LYNN others The research also pointed out that, without this specific training, the professional will not be able to assist or advise individuals in suffering for the injury of their most intimate rights, the HR and, without the necessary sensitivity for the defense of the HR, neither the academic nor the professional can help in the achievement of these rights by frustrating their training and their goals within society. |
